Susie's Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you are from my hometown it is unlikely that you have not tasted the amazingness that is Susie's chocolate chip cookies.

One evening on the front porch swing I told my dad that I had dreamed of getting her recipe since high school.  Susie came in our grocery store and Dad told her he needed a big favor.
Apparently she gives it out all the time and knew it by heart!

That is how I came to make the most perfect chocolate chip cookie.

Susie's Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup oil (vegetable)
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 package (Always Save) chocolate chips

350 degrees. 8 minutes
NO LONGER!!

A few tips from my chocolate chip cookie quest:
Pour chocolate chips in before flour. Keeps you from over beating.
Silpat mats are like magic carpets for cookies.
Roll into balls for pretty cookies.

Happy baking friends!
